Roy is a corporate lawyer whom clients use when they need a pragmatic and no nonsense approach. He has a creative approach in finding solutions to problems.
Roy has a first class reputation for dealing with complex group demergers, reorganisations, capital reduction schemes and company reconstructions. He leads and has trained a team which has completed over three hundred reorganisations since 2020. He acts for a number of specialist tax consultancies and their clients; and is the first port of call for those needing to undertake those processes.
Roy also has over 35 years’ experience of helping owner managed and family businesses with business sales, business purchases and their internal structures and strategy. He has particular experience with engineering, financial services and tax consultancies.
He was for three years Chairman of Leicestershire Business Voice; and for 9 years the deputy Chairman and Chief Judge of the Leicestershire Business Awards. He served on the RGF Regional Development Fund from 2016 to 2019; responsible for making significant grants to East Midlands businesses to support growth and employee recruitment.
The Legal 500 has since 2018 ranked him in their Hall of Fame; and as a leading individual in the East Midlands.
The thing that really gets me buzzing is a problem for which there is no solution; and then finding a solution!
