Jing Wang

Jing Wang is a solicitor in the corporate and commercial team, based in the Bristol office.

Jing has been a qualified lawyer of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) since 2014 and in 2017 she qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales. Jing is fluent in English, Mandarin and Hokkien.

Jing joined the firm since October 2022. Specialised in corporate and commercial law, she frequently advises business owners and senior management on corporate deals, be they share purchase or asset purchase, reorganisation and restructuring, management buy-out as well as general corporate matters, such as shareholders agreement, articles of association and corporate governance issues. From commercial law perspective, she helps clients with a wide variety of commercial contracts, such as general business terms and conditions, supply agreements, manufacturing agreements, property management agreements, or framework agreements etc.

Prior to joining, Jing spent nearly five years working in the China practice team of an international law firm, based in its Shanghai office. During this period, she assisted predominantly in European companies (both multinational and SMEs) with their China-related business. Jing has experience in a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters, such as, joint ventures, acquisitions, commercial contracting, employment, IP, insurance, licensing and compliance, both contentious and non-contentious.

In the early years of her practice, Jing assisted shipping companies, cargo owners, insurers, and other stakeholders with shipping claims.

With years of experience working in Shanghai as a qualified PRC lawyer advising her international clients’ inbound China investment, Jing is now spearheading the firm’s China service initiative. Jing and her team are regularly appointed by top-ranking Chinese law firms in advising their clients’ M&A activities, substantial commercial agreements, and due diligence in the UK. She also frequently assists Chinese entities and individuals with their general business and investment activities in the UK.

Jing is a member of Association of Chinese Lawyers in Europe (ACLE) and Bristol & West of England China Bureau.
