Overview

Church Farm Residential Home, in Great Yarmouth, has been acquired by Ashley Care Group, with our support.

What do Church Farm Residential Home do?

Currently, Church Farm provides round-the-clock care for elderly residents, specialising in residential and dementia care. However, due to growing demand, Ashley Care Group has plans to expand the services offered at the home to include more advance dementia care, providing much-needed support for people and families in the local area.

All staff will be retained as part of the acquisition and investments made in the premises and training of team members.

What did Ashley Care Group have to say?

Ania George, operations director at Ashley Care Group, said: “There is a real need for more specialist care services in the local area, so we’ll be investing in additional training for the team so that they have the skills they need to support our residents who have more advance forms of dementia.

“We also know how important consistency is for our residents and we’re thrilled that all the existing team members will be staying with us. We’re 100% committed to providing the best care possible and, as well as additional training, we’ll be updating the facilities and décor to give the property a refresh.”

This is the fifth care home acquisition for Ashley Care Group, which also owns and manages Ailwyn Hall, Fairland House and The Old Vicarage, also in Norfolk.

Ania added: “A huge thanks goes to the Shakespeare Martineau team for their support in this acquisition.

“We are continually on the lookout for more sites in the area, so we can support more people and their families and are delighted to add Church Farm to our growing group. We are looking forward to taking our residents and staff down the road to Hemsby Beach to celebrate with fish and chips!”

What did Shakespeare Martineau have to say about this acquisition?

Roger Harcourt, corporate partner who led the deal, said: “The care sector has been hit hard over the past few years and we’re seeing significant number of acquisitions and deals as a result. Ania and the Ashley Care Group run fabulous homes and we’ve acted for them for some time. It’s a privilege to help them continue to grow their care home portfolio.”
