Full service law firm Shakespeare Martineau has added to its Lincoln team with a trio of hires, bolstering the firm’s corporate, private client and residential conveyancing teams.

Legal director Emma Carr joins the firm from Wilkin Chapman – bringing with her 15 years’ experience in private client matters including wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and court of protection.

A full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, Emma specialises in supporting high net worth individuals and farming families – from simple to complex personal legal matters, including succession and tax planning for business owners.

Emma said: Advising and assisting agricultural clients is now my favourite part of the job and I’m very much looking forward to continuing that work with the Shakespeare Martineau Lincoln team as well as supporting local businesses in Lincoln with succession planning.

In my new role, I will also be assisting with the growth of the client base across the East Midlands. I have always found the Lincoln business community to be friendly, welcoming and supportive. I have also always enjoyed working in collaboration with other professionals such as accountants, financial advisors and surveyors and look to build on these relationships.

Also newly appointed to the Lincoln team is Nana Maisuradze, taking the role of solicitor in the corporate team.

With eight years’ experience, Nana previously worked for Isbank Turkey in Georgia and Diageo Plc and speaks multiple languages. In her new role, she will be based in Lincoln, supporting M&A, corporate transactions and corporate governance, but supporting clients nationally.

Nana said: “I am delighted to work for Shakespeare Martineau. It is one of the leading law firms in the UK and ranks in many areas in Legal 500 including corporate law. Not only does the firm provide tailored advice to clients, but it also ensures the wellbeing of its teams. I look forward to developing my legal career here.

Joining the residential conveyancing team, Adam Jakubik has been appointed as senior conveyancing assistant. Adam has spent the last 13 years working across different roles in conveyancing, and knows the process inside out.

He said: “I was attracted to Shakespeare Martineau because of the emphasis they put on people and building a team. What I love about the Lincoln community is the support and respect people have for each other. I’m always very hands on all with all my clients so look forward to delivering the best service possible.

Helen Molloy, partner and head of Lincoln said: “We are thrilled to have three people join out growing team and all in such varied areas of law. I look forward to them growing with our firm and building strong local and national client connections.

We are proactively recruiting in Lincoln and the East Midlands.
