Taking an idea on a journey from concept to reality is challenging but really interesting. I’m an adrenaline junkie who is happy riding the ups and downs of that process, but I have done it enough times now to be a safe pair of hands.
I have extensive expertise in the area of investment funds and corporate transactions, gained over the past 25 years acting for many of the world’s leading fund managers, investment banks and financial institutions across Australia, the USA, the UK, Europe and the Middle East. I have been based in London since 2007 and advise on a broad range of investment fund, fund management and corporate matters including formation of funds established in the Cayman Islands, Channel Islands, Delaware, Ireland, Luxembourg and the UK. In addition to fund formation and corporate transactions, in recent years my practice has also grown to include regulatory advice and corporate governance matters.
For the last 2 years I have continued to assist extensively on legal and regulatory matters relating to the formation, investment and ongoing operation of investment funds in addition to advising on the application of various EU/UK regulations to offshore funds, co-investment structures and domestic UK private capital funds.
I am able to distinguish myself from most other investment fund lawyers in London given my experience of the industry from both an offshore and onshore perspective and pre and post financial crisis. I am a senior lawyer with excellent client management and technical skills, with experience of the asset management industry in both good and bad times so have advised clients over a variety of matters ranging from fund formation, seed investment and capital raising in buoyant financial markets to crisis management, restructuring, insolvency and litigation advice in difficult times. I believe this is a very unique skill set.

Financial Services is often characterised in a poor light in the media, but I think this fails to see the enormous impact for good that it can bring on a local and global scale. The idea of being even a small part of solutions to big problems can be really exciting.
