We understand that IT outsourcing is a business critical decision and that the arrangements for this is challenging, complex and evolving and most importantly, no two are the same.

Whether we are acting for customers or suppliers, we support our client in every step of the outsourcing life cycle from the initial selection and bid stage, through contract negotiation to change control, dispute resolution and exit management.

We also understand that, whilst it is important to ensure the “front end” terms and conditions are appropriate, the success or failure of an IT project will depend more on the clear definition of the requirements, a robust implementation plan, acceptance processes and clear, well-defined service levels.

We work closely with in-house and external technical and commercial teams to ensure that the contract as a whole reflects the commercial and technical agreement between the parties.

IT projects are not always successful and the reasons for this aren’t always obvious.

Our team regularly supports clients in analysing and understanding the reasons for project delays and provides strategic advice on how to manage distressed projects. An understanding of the legal rights of each of the parties allows us to work with clients to consider and evaluate all options to determine the route which provides the best business outcome for our clients.
