As the leading guide to law firms and solicitors in the UK, the Legal 500 UK edition highlights the law firms that demonstrate strong technical ability, as well as a reputation for handling complex, innovative deals and a clear investment for the future.

50 of the areas of law in which we operate in are ranked in this year’s edition, an excellent recognition of the breadth and depth of our services and market expertise. From the 50 practice areas we ranked in, we achieved a Top Tier Firm status for ten of them.
Our deep market insight of the charities sector in the East Midlands has elevated the team to tier 1 and our sports sector experience continues to be recognised with a tier 1 ranking. 2020 is also a significant year for our property finance team in London who have been ranked for the first time. We continue to maintain a reputation for delivering fast, focused and cost-effective legal and commercial real estate advice, with our Nottingham and Leicester commercial property teams being recognised as tier 1 firms in their regions. Our commercial property team in Birmingham has also jumped up a well deserved tier. Debt recovery has continued to thrive, maintaining a tier 1 ranking for our technical expertise in all credit management and debt recovery areas. Our Lime Solicitors team, once again, has been acknowledged as a tier 1 firm for their exceptional personal injury and clinical negligence: claimant work in the East Midlands. Our private capital offering also remains strong with tier 1 rankings for our personal tax, trusts and probate teams in the East Midlands and West Midlands.
