David Adams is a partner in the Banking Team at Shakespeare Martineau. David brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked in the East and West Midlands market places for over 25 years.
David has worked in banking and finance for over 25 years, and has extensive experience acting for both lenders and borrowers on a wide range of transactions, including real estate finance, leveraged finance, general corporate lending, education finance, asset based lending and pensions finance.
David brings a highly focussed commercial approach to his role, and is frequently praised for his ability to resolve transactional issues and think laterally to get deals over the line.
Away from work, David enjoys road cycling, mountain biking and music, together with trying and failing to halt the physical deterioration caused by old age, and standing by helplessly as his son slowly but surely surpasses him in sporting and physical prowess.
Although some may think it dry and boring, banking and finance is anything but. I am consistently enthused and motivated by the variety of work and clients I deal with, and by the unique challenges thrown up by transactional work. I particularly enjoy the experience of getting complicated deals over the line, and helping clients achieve their goals.
