About This Webinar
Tuesday 01 November, 08:30 - 10:00
We will be hosting our first HR forum in Lincoln on 1 November 2022, the forum will be a roundtable breakfast session which will be held at BG Futures, Lincoln.
This session will be focussing on the latest development in the calculation of Holiday pay and will look at the recent (and long-awaited) landmark ruling by the Supreme Court in the case of Harpur Trust v Brazel. This case has significant implications for employers with employees who work for part of the year, such as term-time workers, and how they calculate annual leave for staff who don’t work a full year.
Furthermore, we will also look more broadly at the impending cost of living crisis and what employers are doing to address the concerns arising and difficulties employees are going to face.
We will review the key considerations when calculating holiday pay, to remind you of the current state of play following the numerous holiday pay decisions there have been over recent years. In doing so, we will give specific focus to the findings of the Supreme Court in the latest, Brazel, case, in looking to clear up some of the confusion around what this means for employers and how they calculate holiday pay for casual workers.
