Fiona Pask

Fiona is Head of Scotland at Shakespeare Martineau, leading the firm’s Edinburgh hub and its strategy north of the border, and heads the Scottish commercial litigation practice.

A commercial litigator with nearly 20 years’ experience, Fiona acts for businesses, insolvency practitioners and financial institutions in complex, high-value disputes.

Fiona’s practice covers commercial contract and shareholder disputes, financial and secured lending litigation, professional negligence and contentious executries. She has particular sector depth in energy and utilities, and financial services. She has extensive Court of Session experience, including interim orders, petitions and appeals to the Inner House, and has led appeals to the UK Supreme Court. Clients value Fiona’s commercial focus: she gets involved early, advising on contract formulation and protective steps to avoid disputes. Where a dispute can’t be avoided, she pursues resolution through litigation or mediation, whichever best serves the client’s commercial goals.
