Daniel is an experienced specialist commercial litigator, but also with experience as a company director to understand the demands and concerns of clients. That is used to analyse a problem; assess the options to find the most suitable option; and implement the plan to resolve the problem.

Ranked as a Leading Partner in Commercial Litigation in the Legal 500 guide, he specialises in dealing with:

• Disputes concerning Companies and Partnerships including shareholder claims, derivative actions, partnership claims and all corporate matters. Daniel has recently appeared in the Court of Appeal successfully overturning a first instance decision in an unfair prejudice claim.
• Warranty disputes. Daniel has recently acted in a claim surrounding the breach of warranties in a business sale agreement for a large pension scheme.
• Arbitrations in venues including London, Geneva and Hong Kong. Daniel is currently conducting an arbitration dealing with fraudulent misrepresentation and breach of contract claims.
• Defamation and Reputation Management. Daniel is a leading expert in this filed, acting for both claimant and defendant, having recently concluded successful claims against the BBC for example, and am acting against Pathe Films and Steve Coogan in a large defamation action.
• Commercial contract claims and disputes, including fraud. Daniel is currently pursuing fraud and deceit claims for a large charity against a former officer.
• International claims: Daniel is currently acting in an international sales dispute for a large corporation in the Philippines.
• Strategic advice: providing advice to many clients dealing with the management of issues and disputes, outside of litigation. For example Daniel is currently acting in connection with an Italian investigation into data hacking and cross-border claims that our client has been drawn into.
