Aaron specialises in private wealth disputes and has both onshore and offshore experience advising beneficiaries, executors and trustees, protectors and charities.
Prior to joining SHMA, Aaron spent three years working in Guernsey for a leading offshore law firm. Prior to this, he worked for a a leading UK and international law firm headed up from London. His experience includes advising both domestic and international clients on a wide-range of trust and estate dispute matters, including:
– breach of trust / fiduciary duty claims;
– mistake and rectification claims;
– construction applications;
– applications by trustees seeking ‘Blessing’ and /or’Beddoe’ relief from the court;
– applications for the removal of fiduciary officeholders (executors and trustees);
– will validity challenges (including lack of capacity claims); and
– bringing and defending claims for financial provision against an estate under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
A large proportion of his previous work includes matters which span multiple jurisdictions, or which have cross-border or international elements to them.
Aaron was featured in the 2024 eprivateclient NextGen Leaders in both the and UK and Crown Dependencies rankings and is a qualified Guernsey Advocate (2025 call), full member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), ACTAPS (the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists) and an active member of ConTrA (the Contentious Trust Association.
