Area: Firm News
Shakespeare Martineau has been ranked in three of the ‘Best Companies to Work For’ lists 2021, including the Top 20 law firms to work for, Midlands’ Top 100 best companies to work for and London’s Top 75 best large companies to work for.

The firm has also been awarded ‘outstanding’ accreditation for employee engagement, achieving the impressive accolade in its first year entering the rankings.

Ben Buckton, chief marketing and people officer at Shakespeare Martineau said: “We are thrilled with our Best Companies result in our first year being involved. It’s important to me that our people feel they can bring their true self to work, feel empowered to share their opinions and have their voices heard - achieving recognition as a top employer in law, the Midlands and London is testament to the collaborative and authentic culture we share at Shakespeare Martineau.”

Best Companies lists are the highest regarded league tables for great places to work in the UK, with data collated independently and anonymously from employees working in the business. Businesses from all sectors compete for a coveted space in the top tables, from major car manufacture Toyota to national retailers like Hobbycraft.

Official places within each list are due to be announced 21 May 2021.

Sarah Walker-Smith, CEO at Shakespeare Martineau said: “Our people are what we are all about – it’s by investing in our people, their ambitions, their development and their wellbeing that they deliver their best and in turn the best for our clients and communities. We already knew we had strong engagement, but I’m so pleased to see the recognition for outstanding levels of engagement with our Best Companies survey. I can’t wait to see the final results, and the honest insight from our people that will help us continue to improve, develop and grow.”

Shakespeare Martineau is proactively seeking lateral hires, teams, mergers and acquisitions as part of its on-going growth strategy that will see the firm double in size by 2023 - read more here
