About This Webinar

Wednesday 14 June 2023 | 09:30 - 10:00

The next event in our In-house Counsel Training Programme, is a webinar focussed on TUPE in the context of insourcing and outsourcing of services where in-house legal teams are involved in the drafting and approval of the commercial terms.

Whilst recognising the circumstances when TUPE applies on the sale/purchase of a business (or part of a business) is fairly straightforward and well-understood, it can be more tricky to recognise transactions which fall within the second limb of TUPE, namely those which involve a “service provision change”. Sometimes, that recognition comes too late in the day to avoid unintended – and undesired – consequences.

In this webinar, we will focus on the TUPE implications of service provision changes, and in particular.

Key Topics Covered
  • The extent to which the sun-setting provisions of the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill may impact on TUPE

  • The benefits of using pre-emptive drafting in outsourcing agreements

  • Practical tips on how to protect and/or strengthen your workforce during a service provision change
