The pandemic has created a host of challenges for businesses to overcome in the past year and a sustained economic recovery is unlikely to happen any time soon. Although financial support measures have been put in place by the government to ease the financial pressures, including Bounce Back Loans, Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Schemes and Furlough, with other transitional relief measures also extended until 31 March 2021, what happens when that support is withdrawn?
As they plan for the journey ahead, we look at the obligations placed on directors, the warning signs for their businesses and what steps they can take, as well as the impact of the delayed changed to IR35, and what employers should be aware of if redundancies are triggered, should furlough support be withdrawn.
