About This Webinar
Tuesday 24 May, 09:30 - 10:15
On 24 February 2022, the long-anticipated Charities Bill received Royal Assent becoming the Charities Act 2022, and will bring into effect a raft of changes designed to allow charities to run more efficiently and with less red tape.
The new Act will implement most of the recommendations that were made by the Law Commission in its 2017 report "Technical Issues in Charity Law" and aims to reduce administrative burdens for charities, saving both time and money.
In this webinar, our new charities partner will talk through the key reforms and how they will impact your charity, including the following:
-
Amending your governing document
-
Failed fundraising appeals
-
Permanent endowment
-
Payments to trustees
-
Ex gratia payments
-
Mergers
This is a live event and there will be an opportunity for questions and answers on the day; if you wish, you may also forward your questions in advance to events@shma.co.uk
