About This Seminar

Tuesday 11 June 2024 | 08:30 - 10:30

Now that the mandatory Biodiversity Net Gain requirements are in force, we will consider the options for delivering BNG, which can be achieved on-site, off-site or through a combination of the two. BNG will have significant impacts for land managers / owners, developers and local planning authorities.

Such impacts include procedural points, timing of applications, impacts upon net developable area, planning risk and cost implications. We will look at the importance of incorporating BNG as part of the design process, balancing it with other demands on site.

Anna Cartledge, Partner at Shakespeare Martineau, Luke Hillson, Design Partner at Marrons and Stuart Wilson, Ecologist at Temple will guide attendees through some of the key requirements and considerations that should be given to achieving a 10% BNG uplift on prospective development sites; maximising the value of those sites, minimising planning risk and expediting the application process.
