Insight Evenings
At Shakespeare Martineau we believe the legal profession needs an eclectic range of voices to reflect the world we live in, that’s why we are passionate about finding innovative ways to attract diverse talent.
We created our insight evenings to be open to all and give access to anyone considering a career in the legal sector.
What is an insight evening?
An insight evening is your opportunity to get to know us, hear about what a career in the legal sector looks like with us and what the candidate journey looks like.
Throughout these sessions we will guide you through the skills needed to get a job in the legal sector, develop and have a successful career in the legal profession and provide the opportunity to meet with our people, hear about our firm culture, build relationships with our team, and gain a valuable insight into working with us.
You will also hear from our current apprentices, trainees and paralegals who will share what attracted them to Shakespeare Martineau and what it is like to work with us, as well as our partners who will share their journey from trainee to qualified solicitor.
The early ambitions team will also share advice and tips about how to perfect your application and host a ‘cheat sheet session’ on how to approach our recruitment process.
Why should I attend an insight evening?
Our insight evenings allow you to learn more about the opportunities at our firm, experience first-hand what our current apprentices, trainees and lawyers think about life at Shakespeare Martineau. It's a great opportunity to really get to know us and ask any questions you may have about what your career development will look like with us.
Ultimately, the evening will help you determine whether we are the right fit for you and your career goals.
What’s next?
The insight evenings take place quarterly and enable you to work around other commitments such as work or study.
Please note, you will not be assessed at the event, and instead, this is a chance for you to find out more about us in a relaxed environment.
Register your interest below by answering a series of short questions about your interest in a career in law and working with us and we will be in touch.
