Fiona provides advice to clients at early stages and contract/agreement formulation. Where avoidance is not possible, then preparation is key, and Fiona is on hand to provide advice in relation to protective steps which can be taken by clients who fear that a contentious issue may be in the offing.

She acts in complex and high-value litigations and has extensive experience of court of session practice and procedure, including commercial contract disputes, professional negligence, petitions, caveats, actions for reduction, interim orders applications, judicial review, appeals to the Inner House, and a wide range of damages actions with a particular interest in vicarious liability disputes.

Fiona has also had a substantial sheriff court practice with mirroring areas to her court of session practice, but also has experience leading fatal accident inquiries.

As well as court experience, she regularly advise clients in relation to alternative dispute resolution, particularly mediation.
