Harman works closely with rural and landed estate owners, farming partnerships, trustees, wealthy entrepreneurs, families with accumulated wealth and their professional advisers on a wide range of tax and succession matters, including passing assets to the next generation tax efficiently while retaining proper provision and control for the current generation.

Harman’s practice encompasses undertaking bespoke lifetime projects as part of an on-going, multi-generational and holistic estate and tax planning strategy for high and ultra-high net worth families (up to £250m).

Harman is passionate about helping his clients build strategies which ensure the long term integrity and success of their estates. This necessitates: (i) working closely with trustees, beneficiaries, estate offices, the wider family and key professional advisers to ensure a collaborative and joined up approach to tax and succession planning; and (ii) implementing a flexible structure able to respond to the pressures, and opportunities, of the modern world.

Harman believes in developing strong long-lasting client relationships and adopts a pragmatic, client-centric approach to his work. Clients appreciate his practical, proactive and positive attitude.

Harman has written articles that have been published in preeminent publications and utilised for students studying law, commented on the bi-annual budgets, and delivered podcasts, webinars and presentations.

Harman is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), having completed the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (England and Wales).
