Some of our legal experts will be speaking at this year’s Agroforestry Show, which takes place 6-7 September at Eastbrooke Farm, Wiltshire.
The show, which is organised by the Soil Association and the Woodland Trust, brings together farmers, foresters, growers, advisors, funders, food businesses and agroforesters to discuss the key issues and challenges for the sector, while also sharing best practice and solutions for the future.
As specialists in agriculture, diversification and funding, we are the only legal sponsor of the flagship event and will be taking to the stage on day one of the show to chair a panel discussion about how to fund an agroforestry scheme.
Jennie Wheildon, partner in the agricultural team said: “agroforestry is hugely important as it has the power to improve biodiversity and soil health, cut carbon emissions and produce healthy nutritious food and sustainable timber.
“Risk, reward and generating the capital to get started are often key concerns for our clients, so I’m excited to be chairing a discussion about funding projects, which I expect will be a popular event and cause for debate.”
With a proven track record in supporting farmers to diversify agricultural areas into woodland creation, we are looking forward to unlocking commercial opportunities while also supporting environmental sustainability.
Agricultural expert and partner Amy Cowdell said: “Increasing biodiversity, carbon offsetting and carbon reduction are high on the agenda for every sector, posing opportunities for farmers and landowners to support the UK in meeting its net zero targets through innovation and diversification. Our job is to support the sector navigate the legal complexities surrounding agroforestry, food security and biodiversity net gain, from small-holdings through to large-scale land.
“We’re delighted to be sponsoring this event, which aligns so closely to our attitude towards responsible business and changing business for good and look forward to sharing our expertise, as well as learning from others.”
