BWB breakfast briefing
The recently published Defra “25 Year Environment Plan” includes a commitment from Government to “embed an ‘environmental net gain’ principle for development”, including provision within housing and infrastructure projects. The specifics are currently unclear and will need to be developed.
Presenters Daniel Allum-Rooney and Sarah Stone from BWB will provide insight on:
• How might “environmental net gain” be defined
• What embedding environmental net gain could mean in practice
• Our thoughts on the potential risks and opportunities for developers
Chris Hobson, Director of Policy and External Affairs at the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce will also be attending to provide insights on the state of the region. In addition, a panel of environmental experts will be on hand to answer questions about this or any other project queries you may have.
