About this networking event
The Ampa Sikh Network is collaborating with Ramblings of a Sikh to present Manuscript to Memoir, a live podcast taking place at our Birmingham hub on the evening of 8 October.
Hosted by historian, content curator and Ramblings of a Sikh founder Amar Singh, the event brings together two leading voices in Sikh studies to explore how Sikhi is understood, taught and preserved – from lived tradition to pre-colonial Sikh literature.
Professor Eleanor Nesbitt, University of Warwick – author of Sikhs: Two Centuries of Western Women’s Art and Writing and the bestselling Sikhism: A Very Short Introduction.
Dr Jvala Singh, University of California, Berkeley – creator of the Suraj Podcast, founder of Manglacharan and Study Sikhi, and author of 54 Punjabi Proverbs and the forthcoming The Ballad of Chandi: Poems of Resistance and Victory.
