We are delighted to announce the appointment of Fiona Pask as our new head of Scotland – marking a significant milestone in our expansion north of the border.

Based in our Edinburgh hub, Fiona will spearhead the strategic development of Shakespeare Martineau in Scotland, focusing on practice growth, client relationships and talent development.

Fiona is a highly experienced litigator with nearly 20 years in the legal profession, specialising in dispute resolution. She has acted in a wide range of complex and high-value litigations across both public and private sectors. As well as a prominent practice in the Sheriff Court and the Court of Session, Fiona has led appeals to the United Kingdom Supreme Court.

Fiona said: “I’m both proud and excited to take on the role of head of Scotland at a time of great opportunity for Shakespeare Martineau. The firm’s values – especially its emphasis on bravery, collaboration and authenticity – strongly reflect my own approach to leadership and client service.

“Scotland presents huge opportunities for the firm and I’m looking forward to growing our talented team, developing our service offering, and deepening our local and national relationships. The calibre of clients we work with and the support from our UK-wide network give us a strong platform to drive continued growth.”

Fiona’s appointment follows a period of rapid expansion for our Scottish practice, which launched in 2020. The firm’s Queen Street office in Edinburgh is now home to a team spanning corporate, banking, commercial, data protection, litigation and real estate, with significant expertise in energy and healthcare.

We are proud to be the only Scottish practice to be part of Multilaw, a global network of law firms – is a certified B Corporation, meaning it is legally required to consider the impact of business decisions on its people, customers, suppliers, communities and the environment. The firm currently employs more than 1,400 people across 22 UK hubs.
