Shakespeare Martineau has been reappointed to the National Farmers’ Union legal panel – confirming its commitment to the agricultural sector.
The firm has been a member of the panel since 2008 and, after a thorough review by the union, will continue to provide specialist advice to members in Warwickshire and Worcestershire for the next three years.
Peter Snodgrass, head of agriculture at Shakespeare Martineau, said: “We are delighted to have been reappointed to the NFU’s legal panel and we are looking forward to continuing supporting its members in Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
“The legal requirements of the agricultural sector can be complex, and farmers and land managers are having to deal with ever-growing and more diverse businesses.
“We recognise the importance of having access to an expert team of lawyers who understand these challenges, so we are continuing to invest in our people and our core team is complemented by a diverse range of specialists from across the firm all focussed on the sector, including inheritance tax and wills, planning, disputes, renewable energy, and telecommunications.”
The NFU’s review assessed Shakespeare Martineau’s legal services, engagement with the organisation and its members, as well as feedback from NFU members and staff. Shakespeare Martineau was praised for its strength of expertise in agricultural matters.
The legal panel offers a discount to NFU members on hourly rates, as well as provides fixed fee and other packages for its services.
