Anglian Water appoints Shakespeare Martineau to legal panel

It’s time to celebrate for our energy & utilities team!

After a competitive tender process, we’ve been chosen by Anglian Water to be part of its legal panel of advisers.

Janet James, partner in our energy & utilities team, will be leading the firm in advising Anglian Water on property, property litigation and planning matters. The appointment will last five years, with the potential for a three-year extension.

Covering an area of 27,500 sq. km, Anglian Water provides water and water recycling services to 6.8m people in the East of England and Hartlepool every day. It also runs several reservoirs, including one of the largest man-made lakes in Europe, Rutland Water.

Our energy & utilities team have been particularly busy in recent months, having been involved in several high-profile battery storage and utilities projects across the country. As such, this appointment comes as another brilliant achievement for the team.
