A first-class legal panel appointment | University of Hertfordshire
We’ve been appointed to the new legal panel for the University of Hertfordshire.
Led by our head of education, Smita Jamdar, we will be advising the university on a range of matters including governance and constitutional law, employment law, dispute resolution and litigation, as well as corporate and commercial law. Alongside Smita, our team consists of Joanna Forbes, David Browne, Catherine Savage and Andrew Hartshorn.
Having previously advised the institution on governance and constitutional matters, as well as dispute resolution and litigation, we are looking forward to building on our already strong relationship, with the partnership spanning up to five years.
Smita Jamdar, our head of education, said: “The education sector, in particular, is a keen focus for us at the firm; we have a really talented team of lawyers who are passionate about supporting the success of both institutions and their students.
“Higher education is going through an intense period of change and we’re looking forward to working alongside the University of Hertfordshire team to help them continue to grow and develop over the coming years.”
Alex Hall, director of legal & compliance services and university solicitor at the University of Hertfordshire, said: “We are very pleased to be working with Shakespeare Martineau again. They have a deep understanding of the issues facing our sector, they are proactive in providing pragmatic solutions, and we enjoy working with them.”
