Brexit one year on: what's changed for the UK Immigration System?

Webinar | Brexit

About This Webinar

Thursday 20 January 2022, 9:30 - 10:00
We are now one year since the Brexit transition period ended and the UK officially left the EU. Our UK immigration system has been completely reformed from 2021 to cater for the end of free movement of EU citizens to the UK and employers have had to re-consider recruitment strategies, particularly those heavily reliant on a EU workforce.
In this webinar, we will look back at:

Key points and learnings of the sponsorship system over the last 12 months

What the future of the UK immigration system will look like and how businesses can prepare

We will also update you on changes expected in Spring 2022 when the Home Office’s transition period for the remote right to work checks ends, the introduction of new visas routes on the horizon, and looking into the future, specifically the new digitising of the UK Border in years to come.

There is much more change coming in 2022. Businesses must ensure they are ready to make the most of opportunities, steer clear of any fines which potentially can be up to £20,000, and also ensure recruitment strategies and policies are up to date.
Our speakers are Tijen Ahmet and Calum Hanrahan, both immigration specialists who work with global and UK businesses advising on strategic international recruitment, immigration compliance, facilitating work assignments and relocation to the UK.

If you wish to put your questions forward in advance, please email these to events@shma.co.uk.
