Understanding the obligations that arise upon a TUPE transfer

Wednesday 23rd September 2020, 08:30 - 10:30
Shakespeare Martineau, Waterfront Plaza, Waterfront House, 35 Station Street, Nottingham, NG2 3DQ
Who should attend? HR Professionals and business decision makers who have responsibility for people management

Whenever TUPE is mentioned, a sharp intake of breath arises.  Why is this and what are the key obligations for employers to follow when involved in a TUPE transfer?

This event is a must for any HR Director or business owner involved, or considering involvement, in outsourcing, merger or acquisitions.

This is a roundtable event to discuss the implications of the TUPE legislation and to identify where such transfers can arise.  During this session, our employment law experts will provide the attendees with guidance around the differing types of matters that can trigger a TUPE transfer and the key steps that need to be followed once a TUPE situation is identified.  Attendees will have the ability to share experiences and to highlight concerns that have arisen in TUPE scenarios they have been involved in and to seek practical tips from our employment experts on managing a TUPE transaction.  Examples of what can happen if the TUPE process is not dealt with correctly will also be given, in highlighting the potential pit falls.

We are aware of the difficulties that a TUPE transaction can cause, and so this is your chance for a helpful reminder of the key issues and steps to be taken where TUPE applies.

Attendees of this event should come away with a sound understanding on when TUPE may apply, who and what transfers, and practical steps to follow when a TUPE scenario arises.

Places are limited, so please book early to secure your place.
