Shakespeare Martineaus real estate team goes from strength to strength with two new appointments

In the latest of a series of senior hires, Shakespeare Martineau has appointed two new partners to join the real estate team in the firm’s London office.

John Archer and Bruce Jury both join from the London office of Southampton-based firm, Moore Blatch, where they were responsible for establishing a real estate and banking capability.

John specialises in banking and finance, with a focus on real estate development and investment transactions, and has 15 years of experience advising banks and investment managers on the financing, sale and purchase of real estate portfolios.

Working closely with John and bringing further expertise to Shakespeare Martineau’s real estate team in London, Bruce has spent more than 15 years advising on property development, investment and complex letting issues.  Bruce works extensively for offshore and US investors.

In their new roles, both partners will be responsible for growing and enhancing the firm’s real estate service in the City and further expanding the team in order to deliver a high-quality service to clients, existing and new.

Adrian Bland, head of commercial real estate at Shakespeare Martineau, said: “We are committed to hiring the best talent. John and Bruce are a welcome addition to our team in London.

“The partners have joined the firm at an exciting time when the real estate team in London and nationally is going through a period of rapid growth. Having them on board will be hugely valuable as we look to strengthen our practice and the services on offer for clients.”

John Archer said: “Shakespeare Martineau’s ambition and vision to grow significantly over the next few years was a leading factor in our decision to join the firm. The London team is expected to deliver a sizeable contribution to that growth and I am looking forward to helping to expand the real estate practice.”

Bruce Jury added: “Working closely together in our previous firm, John and I used our experience in different areas of real estate to complement each other’s practices. Joining Shakespeare Martineau presents a great opportunity for us to exchange our expertise with other specialist sector teams across the firm as we work towards achieving its significant growth objectives”.

"The dedication and commitment of Shakespeare Martineau
throughout the process helped to create, and preserve,
value for the shareholders."
