Shakespeare Martineau hires energy and infrastructure finance partner in London

Shakespeare Martineau has hired energy and infrastructure finance partner, Winston Bell-Gam at its London office.

Winston’s practice assists commercial banks, developers, sponsors, investment managers, development finance institutions, multilateral lending agencies and export credit agencies with their project development and finance goals across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.

With over 12 years’ experience in the energy and infrastructure sector, both domestically in the United Kingdom and in Europe, the Middle East ,Africa and Asia, Winston joins the firm from the Regional Development Finance Institution,  East Africa Development Bank, where he was head of legal. In his previous role, Winston advised the bank on its regional project and development financings (including direct lending, co-financings and syndications) across a number of sectors including energy (oil & gas and renewable energy), infrastructure, real estate and agribusiness.
