DECC consults on changes to the capacity market

On 1 March 2016 the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) issued two documents on reforms of the capacity market. One was its Response to its Consultation on Reforms to the Capacity Market issued on 15 October 2015 (the “Response Document”). The other was a fresh consultation paper entitled Consultation on further reforms to the Capacity Market (the “New Consultation Document”). The New Consultation Document sets out a number of proposed reforms and the consultation period closes on 1 April 2016.
